This week we added one of our “Secret Products” to our catalog. Polar Focus has many products that we produce in low volume. At our shop, we call them secret because they haven’t yet been added to our catalog. (This one was just added, but there are many more.)
For this project, Polar Focus supplied two PM2-10-Z Pole Mounts and our weatherized bracket for the JBL CBT 70J-1 and 70JE-1 Line Array Column. This was installed in April by Dustin Treml with Daktronics at the US Lacrosse Headquarters and Training Center in Sparks, Maryland.
This system offers infinitely adjustable pan and tilt control and has been galvanized for weather resistance. Polar Focus PM2-10-Z is zinc plated for corrosion resistance. Custom powder coat colors may be specified as required for particular installations.

Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA has ten beautiful new
Bose RoomMatch clusters installed by Jim Hogan of IES Communications.
Polar Focus supplied components from our Ultimate Line Array Rigging for Bose,
which included our Spine Frame Adapters, PY Quick Disconnect Fittings,
and spreaders. Every cluster is easily adjustable in pan and tilt under full load.
This project came in as a rush and Polar Focus was able to manufacture the white
hardware within the installation timeline. In the photo below, the rigging hardware
is almost invisible.
The RoomMatch clusters truly look great in the venue – looks like speakers floating
in air. Jim had great things to say about how much easier Polar Focus rigging made
the installation process:
“We got it all done, and even had to take down the last 3 and redo because they put the
wrong cabinets on the clusters. The more we did the faster we got. Imagine that!
They went up really easy once we got past the construction issues.”
We were very glad to help, and hope the students at VMI benefit from the new
system for years to come.

Using a Polar Focus Motor Zbeam such as the PY1-MZB-SR5, your line array has infinitely adjustable pan and tilt control under full load while being serviceable from a single hoist.
Compared to the conventional two hoist method, this saves a lot of time and money; and results in more accurate cluster aiming. This configuration is roughly twice the performance at half the price of the common two hoist method. Polar Focus manufactures a wide selection of line array rigging hardware, which is featured on our new website: LineArrayFrames.com. Like the image shown, many Polar Focus line array configurations have no shackles and no wire rope. Some configurations have no exposed speaker signal cable, because it is hidden in raceways that are part of the rigging equipment.

Polar Focus and Fulcrum Acoustic putting their minds together on state of the art line array rigging.
The Kestrel frame for Fulcrum Acoustic FL283 line array modules, when used with Polar Focus Ultimate Line Array Rigging accessories, provides control of pan and tilt while under full load. In many configurations, there are no shackles, wire ropes or even signal cables visible.
