Polar Focus line array rigging for Adamson loudspeakers

Polar Focus line array rigging for Adamson line arrays

Polar Focus assisted Seth May from SDMTEC, LLC in the Syracuse area with flying these two arrays of ADAMSON IS7’s, as well as some single Adamson fill speakers from sloped beams in a house of worship installation. Polar Focus provided Custom Beam Attachments for attaching all the speaker loads to the sloped beams. We also provided SFA tilt bars for infinitely adjustable line array tilt control, as well as wire rope assemblies for the side fills.

This looks amazing and will serve the congregation for years to come. Here’s what Seth had to say about Polar Focus hardware:
“The project went best case scenario! The Polar Focus pieces were exactly as specified and expected and the client is incredibly pleased with both the esthetics of the new hang placement and the audio coverage we were able to accomplish for the project. Attached are a couple photos of the completion. Thank you for working with us to come up with a rock solid deployment for this.”
-Seth May

You’re welcome, Seth! It’s always great to work with new customers!!

d&b Audio Line Arrays

Polar Focus rigging for d&b Line Arrays
Scott Tomashek of Camera Corner Connecting Point contacted us for assistance with two new facilities at a local casino property in the Upper Midwest. Each of the two rooms had an identical and very unusual roof. The roofs had sloped trusses that were stepped, with each truss having a high end and a low end, and neighboring trusses at differing heights. In each room, a lighting truss structure supported a large amount of AV equipment. With uneven roof trusses, keeping everything level and evenly loaded was a challenge.

In the first room, there were four AL Series mid-hi’s, two Y Series arrays and two 21S subwoofer speakers from d&b Audiotechnik. In the second room, there were two d&b audiotechnik J-Sub subwoofers along with a 12.5′ diameter round video wall. The weights for the two complete systems were 2,2148 lbs. and 7,049 lbs., respectively. supplied all of the speaker rigging, including Spine Frame Adapters and custom components, lighting truss, rigging design, and PE Stamped drawings for the state where this job was installed. All mid-hi arrays have independent pan and tilt, as well as adjustment under full load.

Mankato Event Center

Polar Focus Ultimate Line Array Rigging Trolley System for Mankato Event Center

Here’s an amazing line array trolley system being installed by Video Services, Inc. at the newly renovated Mankato Event Center in Mankato, MN. Designed by Peterson AV Consulting, Inc., this project consisted of two systems, a FOH distributed system with 10 Fulcrum Acoustic AH65’s; and two Martin Audio line array clusters consisting of 8 W8LC modules with two custom flying amp racks.

Edit 2

The amp racks are standard rolling amp racks, which are each secured into a flying cage. Each rack and cluster can be independently raised or lowered on its own hoist. Each amp rack and line array cluster travels front to back in the room on trolley beams. For stage extension productions, the clusters roll forward. To hide the clusters, they can be rolled on the trolley beams into tall closets on the back wall. Polar Focus supplied the trolley rigging system, hoists, Motor Zbeams, flying rack cages, aiming bars for the main line arrays, all the rigging for the distributed FOH system, and finally PE stamped drawings for the entire design, stamped by a Minnesota Structural Engineer.

Mankato
The renovated Event Center opens September 1st – we hope they enjoy their new sound system! We’re looking forward to more photos of this project as it is completed, so we’ll share them as they come in.

Excellent work, Dave Peterson and the crew at Video Services, Inc.!

New Danley installation in Wisconsin

Polar Focus Ultimate Line Array Rigging for Danley Sound Labs

Scott Tomashek from Camera Corner Connecting Point and his crew did a great job installing this sound and video system in an insurance company presentation space in Wisconsin.

CCCP 2

This system includes five curved video screens that raise and lower on a winching system, and 11 Danley Sound Labs, Inc. speakers. There were five pairs of SH69 Danleys, each with independent pan and tilt. The lower speaker within each grouping also had separate tilt adjustment, for precision coverage control.

CCCP 1

At the center is a 500 pound BC415 subwoofer for terrific low frequency coverage. Polar Focus provided roof attachment, pan and tilt adjustment for each pair of speakers, custom grouping plates to create clusters as pairs, and custom rigging to plant the subwoofer exactly in the middle. The end result was beautiful and sounded great too.

Excellent work Scott and the guys at Camera Corner!

This project came in as a rush and Polar Focus was able to manufacture the white
hardware within the installation timeline.  In the photo below, the rigging hardware
is almost invisible.Polar Focus rigging for Bose RoomMatch at Virginia Military Institute

The RoomMatch clusters truly look great in the venue – looks like speakers floating
in air.  Jim had great things to say about how much easier Polar Focus rigging made
the installation process:

“We got it all done, and even had to take down the last 3 and redo because they put the
wrong cabinets on the clusters. The more we did the faster we got. Imagine that!

They went up really easy once we got past the construction issues.”

We were very glad to help, and hope the students at VMI benefit from the new
system for years to come.
